Available Shopping: Kenora boasts several major grocery chains, these being Safeway, Extra Foods, and Real Canadian Wholesale Club. Safeway offers access to Lake of the Woods through it's marina. There are numerous smaller food and convenience stores sprinkled throughout the community. A large, centrally located Mall provides convenient shopping and features a large Zellers and the Extra Foods stores. This complex houses many other fine stores to fill most every need. Kenora's Main street offers a variety of fine shopping in its many smaller stores. For the handy person, Kenora offers hardware outlets which include Beaver Lumber and a large Canadian Tire store with access to Lake of the Woods via its marina. Keewatin has two major grocery stores, these being Big Way Meat & Sea Food and Keewatin Place. A large McDiarmid Lumber Home Centre is located to the west end of Keewatin. Recreation Facilities: There are three recreation centres, one each in Keewatin, Kenora and Jaffray Melick.   Kenora Recreation Centre: The largest of the two in the tri-town area. It houses a hockey rink, a 25 meter 6 lane swimming pool, a concession stand and a multi purpose room with stage facilities. A six sheet curling rink with a restaurant on the main floor and a dance floor with a bar on the second floor also housing showers and locker rooms is situated in the center of town. Keewatin Recreation Centre: The centre houses a hockey rink and concession stand in one half and a multi-sheet curling rink with bar and dance floor in the other half.
